Building safer spaces
for every child.

Allergy Awareness Workshops for pupils and staff.

The only provider integrating pupils workshops and teacher CPD. Because staff training alone won't change children's perceptions of allergies!

Why the pupils and not just staff?

Compliance with Benedict's Law alone does not create a safe space.

Staff training alone won't change children's perceptions of allergies.

With most allergy providers stopping at training for staff or focusing mainly on the medical and practical side of interacting with children with allergies, pupils usually fully miss the cut.

Pupils are where the risk usually lives. Not only are 1 in 3 allergic pupils reporting bullying linked to their allergies, they are also the ones sitting together at lunch tables, sharing birthday cakes and spending time with each other.

This is where my workshops help out! I focus on raising awareness and interest in allergies not only in staff but also with children. Because children who understand allergies help us create safer spaces for every child!

This is personal, not just professional!

Two of my grandchildren have food allergies and wherever we go we carry a backpack with autoinjectors and medicines. I wanted to write an adventure story that raises awareness of food allergy safety especially at social events that centre around food.

The children were completely engaged from start to finish. Zeb and Jet made allergy awareness feel natural and fun rather than scary.
